Rules
for entering Men’s Competitions
|
|
|
|
|
|
1.
Enter name in
Competition Book.
|
|
2.
Put appropriate
sum in envelope with entrant’s name on it, competition details and put
envelope in the Competition Box. This must be done before starting;
failure to comply will lead to disqualification.

3.
“A Member must
have returned at least four cards from individual stroke play rounds
during the twelve month period before entering a Trophy Competition.
Exclusions to this Rule are “AWAY” players who are able to satisfy
this rule at their home course (this will be checked by the Competition
Secretary) and New Members joining from another Club who are able to
satisfy this Rule.

4.
The marker in any
competition must be a fellow competitor, if available; otherwise a club
non-competitor Member may act as a marker for an individual competitor.

5.
All cards must be
returned by one half hour after sunset on the day of the Competition.
Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
|
|
6.
Providing a
Member has himself satisfied the Club’s Rules for entering Men’s
Competitions, he will not later be disqualified for playing with a
Member (s) who has not satisfied the same rules.
|
|
7.
A player may
start from the 12th tee with permission of the starter, as
long as the Competition does not preclude it.
|
|
8.
The minimum
number of entrants in any competition shall be ten; less than ten will
result in the competition being cancelled.
|
|
9.
Any player
failing to return his scorecard on two occasions will be banned from
entering any competitions for the following two weeks.
|
|
10.
Juniors may enter
Men’s Competitions providing. (a) There is not a Junior Competition
being played on the same day. (b)
Their scorecard must be counter-signed by an adult member.

11.
CONGU DECISIONS -
APPENDIX K Clause 5 will be applied.
(Handicap
increases for none returns will only apply to players
that
has completed the first 13 holes)
