Retiring Secretary
I first became Secretary of Southsea Golf Club on 18th November 1959 when the club played over the miniature links on the seafront, in those days the club had some 20 + members. In June 1972 Southsea moved to Great Salterns and I said I would help the club become established there and then someone else can take over. Well here we are today (26th March 2004)some 32 years later and I am still Hon. Sec / Treasurer. That's 45 years in total and that's long enough for most people and the Club, it's now time for that someone else to take over. He continues to serve the Club as a Vice President and remains the Club's representative at the County Union, he as also agreed to be part of the sub-committee that is finding our way forward with the new Licensing laws (and any rule changes we might need to make to comply) Good Luck Keith (Extract From Minutes of 2004 AGM)
