Retiring Secretary 

I first became Secretary of Southsea Golf Club on 18th November 1959 when the club played over the miniature links on the seafront, in those days the club had some 20 + members.

In June 1972 Southsea moved to Great Salterns and I said I would help the club become established there and then someone else can take over. Well here we are today (26th March 2004)some 32 years later and I am still Hon. Sec / Treasurer. That's 45 years in total and that's long enough for most people and the Club, it's now time for that someone else to take over.

He continues to serve the Club as a Vice President and remains the Club's representative at the County Union, he as also agreed to be part of the sub-committee that is finding our way forward with the new Licensing laws (and any rule changes we might need to make to comply)
